La Gomera

La Gomera is a small island, but its 378 square kilometres are home to unrivalled ecological wealth that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Things to do in La Gomera

The island rises steeply from Pico Garajonay its highest point at the centre, towards the Atlantic in a series of abrupt mountain ridges and ravines that are home to great diversity of plant life,, with relics from the dawn of time which are found nowhere else on the planet.

The height of the island’s mountains forms a barrier to the clouds which, carried along by gentle trade winds,, release their moisture one drop at a time, creating an astonishing and unique phenomenon: horizontal rain.

A true rainforest,, with trees rising to a height of up to fifteen metres, gives the landscape a fascinating and enchanting feel.

An unmissable experience!
