Festivity of San Roque
La Gomera festivities are well differentiated from the rest of the Archipelago. Here, tradition is key: chacaras, drums, novels. Hundreds of years, of dances and rhythms transmitted from parents to children, turn the holidays of the island into that bucolic character that make them unique. But their dances and their orchestras, their ventorrillos and the marked good character of the locals are also famous.
The festivity of San Roque, in Playa de Santiago, whose particular route to the beach of Tapahuga is wrapped in the sea breeze, has a very special flavour.
The most popular festivity of La Gomera will take place in Tapahuga next August 13, and all is ready for the celebration that attracts both young and old for its fun, colourful and good atmosphere.
